HoJo to play The El Rey and Belly Up Tavern
January 16, 2020 | By Jimmy Haskins
Walking on that stage at Live Aid, and sitting down at the piano to perform his international hit ‘Hide and Seek’, Howard Jones proved that a well written song and an electric performance can captivate a massive audience; both the 72,000 at Wembley Stadium in front of him and the millions watching live on TV.

Known for hit songs such as ‘New Song,’ ‘No One Is To Blame,’ ‘Things Can Only Get Better,’ ‘Everlasting Love,’ ‘Like To Get To Know You Well,’ ‘What Is Love’ among many others, HoJo has toured as a solo electronic show, a full band electric show and as an acoustic show.
His soulful live shows have endeared him to fans worldwide.

His current tour is an acoustic one, but he won’t be alone. He’ll be accompanied by a few legendary artists in their own right. Featured alongside Hojo will be Robin Boult (Roger Daltry, Dave Stewart, Fish) on acoustic guitar and Nick Beggs (Kajagoogoo, Belinda Carlisle, and John Paul Jones) on chapman stick.
(Things Can Only Get Better from the album titled, Dream Into Action)
The shows look to be fantastic events, with the Acoustic Trio providing a fresh take on his hits and with HoJo telling short stories about the songs in between.
It’ll be an amazing night of music and story telling!
