CORPORATE RADIO and BANJOS SUCK! …
At least, that’s the joke people whipser to themselves as they turn on their radios in the car. At a station meeting back in 2006, all the Geeks decided we wanted to do something about that. The thought was that we didn’t want to be part of that joke. We didn’t want to play that same song over and over and over again until our listeners HATED IT! Alternative music has such a diverse following, so seriously…. why limit ourselves, right? No disrespect to our much larger Corporate brothers, but honestly… we feel we play the best Alternative, Punk, Ska and Reggae tunes ANYWHERE.

TNN RADIO is an independently owned and produced Radio Program airing on the world-wide web. TNN does business under its parent BNG Marketing [“BNG”], which is licensed in Orange, California. TNN RADIO
Initially, TNN RADIO was an idea that originated from its parent (BNG Marketing). BNG began business in publishing back in 2004. In the early part of 2006, BNG began its venture into broadcast media. For its live broadcast, BNG formulated the assumed name of TNN RADIO. The name was later adopted and is now a permanent identity.
The TNN NAME
TNN is an acronym used to describe the programs music design. The TNN acronym was established to include the thought of Alternative music, Then n’ Now [“TNN”]. Additional slogans came into play, such as “Broadcasting at a frequency that only our fellow freaks can hear” and “Saving the world from really crappy music, one song at a time” and “At TNN, happiness if life in the key of ska!”
Although the contemporary music played on its broadcasts is what got the most details on the Alternative Lunch program, research showed BNG management that its listeners were drawn to music from the origins of the programming genres. Since new wave and punk rock music from the late 70’s and early 80’s were getting attention, BNG commissioned a research study of its listeners to see what was the big draw for them. The report suggested along with the new wave and punk genres, listeners also gravitated to grunge, mod-ska and punk-ska genres. As a result, BNG developed its social media platform and created “TNN Radio” and “Save Beavis” on Facebook. TNN Radio on Facebook dedicates itself to the alternative/modern rock/new wave and punk rock genres while Save Beavis is more aligned with the reggae, mod-ska / punk-ska scene.
TNN and the Social Network
TNN’s venture was an immediate success, so in 2009’ BNG expanded the role of the subsidiary within its organization and vetured futher into social media. TNN partnered with social media consultant Scarlett’s Web to create the social media strategy, as well as the foundation and artwork for its social network. In late 2009, it was evident TNN was becoming increasingly popular on the social media scene. As a result, on the Operations side, in Q1-2010 marketing of the program was turned over full-time to Scarlett’s Web for branding. TNN on Twitter was established in Q2-2010, in Q1-2011 social media management reverted back to BNG. TNN is now found at Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Love the Site. keep up the good work !!!!
It was a pleasure to met Jimmy at Epicenter, while I was waiting for Asking Alexandria to get on stage. I was on the rail and asked him if he knew why Epicenter was one day not two days like last year. He took and picture with me and that he would find out why that was so. Thanks for taking the time out to talk with me and finding out that question.
Definitely believe that that you said. Your favourite reason appeared to be on the internet the simplest factor to bear in mind of. I say to you, I definitely get irked whilst other people think about worries that they just don’t realize about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing with no need side effect , other folks could take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
